Amy Dowden, a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, has clarified that her absence from this year’s series does not stem from any previous health issues. Instead, she is dealing with a recent injury that requires her to step back from the competition.

“Being back with the Strictly family was the best rehab,” Dowden remarked, expressing hope to return, even if just for group performances, by the end of the series.
