# Stolen Rare Pokémon Card Returned

A **rare Pokémon card** valued at **£30,000** has been successfully returned to its owner after being stolen. The card in question is a highly sought-after **Charizard**, and the theft occurred in Heathfield, East Sussex, between **September 2 and 5**.

## Police Investigation

According to Sussex Police, they discovered that the stolen card was being offered for sale on **Facebook**. In response, a search order was executed at an address in Polegate, where the valuable collectible was located.

> "It was a valuable item which meant a lot to the victim," said PC Alan Russell, who led the investigation.

The Pokémon franchise, which began in **Japan in 1996**, has captivated millions globally with its beloved characters, including **Ash** and **Pikachu**. This franchise has expanded into various forms of media such as video games, films, and television shows. ## Arrest and Return

In connection with the theft, a **23-year-old man** residing at the Polegate property was arrested on suspicion of theft. He later admitted to taking the card and received a caution from authorities. Fortunately, the rare collectible has now been returned to its rightful owner in Essex.
