Fatal Pedestrian Accident in County Armagh Sparks Police Appeal

A tragic incident occurred in County Armagh late on Friday night, resulting in the death of a man after a road traffic accident, according to police reports. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) is seeking assistance from the public following the fatal incident involving a male pedestrian in Crossmaglen.

Authorities received a call shortly after 11:50 PM BST about an individual found lying on the Cullaville Road, which connects Crossmaglen to Cullaville. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a man on the roadway who had sustained severe injuries. Efforts to revive him began immediately through CPR, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The PSNI is urging anyone who was driving on Cullaville Road around the time of the collision or who may have witnessed the event to come forward. They are also requesting dash-cam footage from motorists who might have recorded the moments leading up to or during the accident.

As investigations continue, Cullaville Road has been closed off to traffic. Local councillor Aoife Finnegan expressed her sorrow over the news and advised drivers to steer clear of the area while authorities manage the situation.
