The Sanremo Festival is preparing for a new edition full of surprises and collaborations. Carlo Conti, artistic director of the event, recently announced that the number of songs competing will increase compared to previous editions. During the Milan Music Week, Conti revealed that on December 1st, at 1:30 pm on Tg1, he will reveal the participating songs.
“We had planned 24 songs and we will increase them,” Conti said, stressing the need to keep the festival on schedule.

Conti clarified that this evening will be separate from the festival and will have its own winner. “In the competition at Sanremo there is the song and not the singer,” he explained.
