New Attacks in Beirut’s Southern Suburbs

This morning, the southern suburbs of Beirut were again hit by attacks, following an evacuation order issued by the Israeli army. The situation was documented by AfpTv, which reported images of a thick gray cloud over the area.

IDF Warning

The Arabic-language spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Avichay Adraee, issued a warning to residents of the area. In particular, he stressed that citizens in the vicinity of Ghobeiry should be aware of the presence of Hezbollah-related installations and interests. Adraee clarified that the IDF will act decisively against such targets in the coming days.

The Israeli Air Force demonstrated readiness by intercepting two missiles coming from Lebanon, which were heading towards Israeli territory. This operation was confirmed by the IDF through its Telegram channel.

A Context of Rising Tensions

The recent escalation of attacks in the region highlights an already tense situation between Israel and Hezbollah. The conflict has deep and complex roots, characterized by a history of intermittent clashes and political tensions. Israeli authorities have tightened security along the border, while residents in the area have been put on alert for possible imminent military operations. In such an unstable context, the international community is watching developments carefully, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the growing hostilities. The civilian population continues to live in uncertainty, with the hope that diplomatic efforts can lead to a relaxation of tensions in the near future.
