Gaza Massacre Nine Palestinians Killed in Airstrikes
At least nine Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes that hit several homes in the northern Gaza towns of Jabaliya and Beit Lahiya and Rafah in the south.
A serious incident has shaken Western Galilee, where a young Israeli farmer of 18 years was killed in a Hezbollah bombing from Lebanon. The victim, identified as Sion Sade, was hit by a rocket while trying to take shelter in a ditch. His father said he had spoken to him only five minutes before the attack; Sion was in the fields checking on the crops.
On the same day, the situation in Gaza deteriorated further. According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, eight Palestinians were reported killed due to Israeli attacks in the Nuseirat refugee camp and the Tabat Zare area, east of Rafah. Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Saeed Iravani, has expressed support for UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees. Iravani condemned the Israeli Knesset’s recent actions against the agency, calling them unacceptable attempts to deprive Palestinians of essential services such as education and healthcare.
Iravani said that “any attempt to disrupt UNRWA operations is a violation of human rights.”
The Israeli army (IDF) has announced the expansion of its military operations in the northern Gaza Strip, involving the town of Beit Lahia. According to the Times of Israel, approximately 50 terrorists were killed in Jabalia during the recent clashes. The IDF stressed that it is trying to ensure the safe evacuation of the civilian population during operations against Hamas. In addition, the Israeli Air Force struck over 110 terrorist targets linked to Hezbollah and Hamas. These included targeted strikes on facilities in the Baalbek region and north of the Litani River.
The growing violence in the region raises questions about the future of Israeli-Palestinian relations and the stability of the Middle East. As military operations continue and civilian casualties mount, it remains crucial to find a long-term diplomatic solution that can end this cycle of violence. The international community watches the developments with concern, hoping for a restoration of peace and security for all parties involved.
