A Sudden Meteorological Turn in Italy
An anomalous heat wave has hit Europe, but Italy is preparing for a significant change. Until Saturday, the country will experience high temperatures, but from Sunday a drastic drop is expected, with the arrival of an arctic cold that will bring the values back to autumn levels. This phenomenon will affect not only Italy, but also nations such as Poland, Germany and France.
Weather Forecast for the Next Week
According to the forecasts of Andrea Garbinato, editor of the website www.iLMeteo.it, next week will bring maximum temperatures significantly lower than recent days. The estimates indicate:
- Turin: 7 degrees
- Milan and Bologna: 8-9 degrees
- Genoa: 12 degrees
- Florence and Rome: 13-14 degrees
- Naples: 16 degrees
- Palermo: 19 degrees
Garbinato emphasizes that, although we are not entering a harsh winter phase, a normally autumnal period is expected. However, the perception of cold will be accentuated by the habit of recent temperature peaks, which have reached values such as 25 degrees in the Major Islands and 22 degrees in Naples.
Beware of Intense Atmospheric Phenomena
The expert also warns of the possibility of strong thunderstorms over Sicily and the central-southern Tyrrhenian Sea. Scattered showers are expected over Sicily until Sunday, which could extend towards southern and eastern Sardinia. The Sicilian and Sardinian coasts are particularly at risk due to a core of strong atmospheric instability present over the sea.
Day by Day Forecast Details:
- Thursday 7: Fog in the North with partly cloudy skies; scattered clouds in the Center with rain in Southern Sardinia; showers in the South in Sicily.
- Friday 8: Local fog in the North; scattered clouds with some rain along the Tyrrhenian coasts in the Center; showers in Sicily in the South.
- Saturday 9: Fog in the North; scattered clouds with showers in Central Sardinia; continuation of showers in Sicily in the South.
A Look to the Future
From next week, a winter cyclone is forecast to bring rain and even snow. This weather change is not only a seasonal transition, but also a sign of an unpredictable nature that continues to influence the European climate. With the ongoing global climate changes, it will be interesting to watch how these trends evolve in the coming months.
