Two months after his resignation as Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano returned to make his voice heard on Rai channels, this time to comment on Donald Trump’s victory in the recent American presidential elections. During a video link with Tg1, the former director of Tg2 shared his impressions on the new chapter in American politics, also announcing a new edition of his biography on Trump, entitled “Trump. Vita di un presidente contro tutti”.
Sangiuliano, identified as an expert on American affairs, highlighted the sense of community that surrounds Trump. During his speech, he said that the president-elect made an appeal to common sense, an element that he believes will govern his future presidency.
Sangiuliano’s analysis suggests that political cohesion around Trump could be a determining force in his performance. In the afternoon, Sangiuliano was a guest in the studio on Rainews 24, where he discussed his return to Rai after a period of waiting related to government activity. Sangiuliano said: “I am proudly an employee of Rai and I want to return to do my job with civic commitment”. After more than twenty years dedicated to the network, he has held various positions including editor-in-chief at Tgr and director of Tg2. Regarding his ministerial past and recent legal disputes, Sangiuliano has shown confidence in the judiciary and its principles of independence and autonomy.
