Beginning of a new era for Ducati
Ducati has officially launched its new range of twin-cylinder motorcycles, marking a major step forward with the unveiling of the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 at EICMA 2025. These models represent the introduction of the new Ducati V2 engine, which sets new standards for lightness and performance, making them ideal for both the track and the road.
The Panigale V2 is not just a motorcycle, but a tribute to Ducati’s sporting tradition, inspired by legendary models such as the 748, 848 and 959. With a completely revisited design, this bike was conceived from scratch, thus highlighting the brand’s desire for innovation.
The Panigale V2 combines ease of riding and enjoyability, offering a riding experience that blends high performance with stress-free daily use.
Its main features include:
- Lightness and easy handling
- A smooth power delivery curve at low revs
- An elegant and sporty design, with taut lines
- A front end that recalls the Panigale V4 model, equipped with a Full-LED headlight
The tail of the bike has been designed to integrate harmoniously with the tank, continuing the Ducati stylistic tradition.
Ducati doesn’t stop there. With the Streetfighter V2, the company has created a naked bike that promises fun on the road and performance on the track. Weighing just 175 kg and with an 890 cc engine, this model is the lightest ever made by Ducati.
The “Fight Formula” adopted for the Streetfighter V2 focuses on the direct connection between rider and bike, eliminating any filter between the motorcyclist and the riding experience.
The new model includes:
- Lightweight monocoque frame
- Wide and high handlebars
- No fairing for greater freedom
Both models offer a range of accessories to enhance performance on the track or increase versatility on the road. Dedicated track packs are available for the Panigale, including racing exhausts, Öhlins shock absorbers and adjustable footrests.
Future prospects
The new Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 will hit the market in January and March 2025 respectively. They will be available in two-seater or single-seater configurations, with specific options for A2 license holders. This evolution not only enriches the Ducati range, but also marks a crucial point in the brand’s continuous innovation towards the future of sports motorcycles.
