Authorities in **Tehran have carried out the death sentence of Arvin Ghahremani, a member of Iran’s Jewish community. He was charged with murder during a street brawl, according to Iran Human Rights, a Norway-based organization. Ghahremani was hanged in prison in the city of Kermanshah amid rising tensions with Israel.
Israel has officially announced the termination of relations with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA). This decision was communicated to the United Nations by the Israeli Foreign Ministry after the approval of two bills that ban UNRWA from operating in Israel.
“UNRWA, the organization whose employees participated in the October 7 massacre, is part of the problem in the Gaza Strip and not part of the solution,” declared Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz. The Israeli parliament has approved a proposal to close the agency’s operations in both Israel and East Jerusalem. Despite international condemnation, including from the United States, Katz has maintained that only a fraction of the humanitarian aid has been provided by the agency. Katz said: “The vast majority of humanitarian aid to Gaza is delivered through other organizations, and only 13 percent is delivered through the Agency.” Assuring that Israel is committed to respecting international law, he added that it will continue to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid without compromising the safety of Israeli citizens.
The Israeli military (IDF) recently eliminated two members of militant groups in the Gaza Strip. Among them was Ahmed Al-Dalu, a member of the Islamic Jihad’s Military Intelligence Unit. The IDF said Al-Dalu took part in the October 7 massacre in the Israeli community of Kfar Aza. In another operation, the Israeli Air Force eliminated Abu Ali Rida, a Hezbollah commander in southern Lebanon. Rida was responsible for planning and executing rocket attacks against IDF troops.
