Kamala Harris Surpasses Trump in Iowa A Resounding Surprise
Kamala Harris has overtaken Donald Trump in Iowa, according to the latest poll from a state both candidates seemed to already consider a Republican sweep.
The US elections will not bring any significant changes for Russia, according to Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council. Medvedev expressed his opinion on Telegram, criticizing former President Donald Trump, describing him as “washed out” and capable of only platitudes. According to him, Trump has no chance of stopping the conflict in Ukraine; if he tries seriously, he could face a fate similar to that of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, who was assassinated in Dallas in 1963. In addition, the Russian Vice President attacks Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, calling her “stupid, inexperienced and impulsive.”
Medvedev notes that the world is in a difficult situation ahead of the US presidential election and warns against unrealistic expectations. He then offers five considerations. The first is that the election will not lead to changes in Russia’s position, as the candidates express a bipartisan consensus on the need to oppose the country. Second, he accuses Harris of lacking experience and confidence, suggesting that she will be dominated by a group of senior officials and the Obama family.
The third point concerns Trump, described as a non-incisive figure who limits himself to uttering generic phrases such as “I will offer a deal.” Medvedev argues that Trump will be forced to follow the dynamics of the political system and will not have the ability to end the war, neither quickly nor in the short term. If he actually tries to do so, he will put his own safety at risk.
The fourth point raises the question of how much money the new US president will allocate to the ongoing international conflict. Finally, Medvedev concludes that the decisive element for the candidates in the American elections will be to continue the opposition to the Ukrainian government. For him, the best way to face November 5 is to continue the action against what he calls the Nazi regime in Kiev.
