Pietro Montanino and Maria Zaccaria, the couple who disappeared a few days after their wedding, returned today to their home in Cesa, in the province of Caserta. The Carabinieri are investigating the circumstances of their disappearance, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Naples North.
The couple got married on October 25 and, four days later, left their children with their grandparents and then lost all contact. This situation has caused considerable concern among family and friends in Cesa. Pietro works as a security guard in a private security firm, while Maria is employed by a cleaning company. It is believed that the couple left on foot from Frattamaggiore, in the Naples area, after leaving the children with Pietro’s grandmother. It is believed that they were looking for a new home and were spotted while catching a train at Naples train station.
Their disappearance was reported to the Carabinieri, and the news quickly circulated on social media and in the media. Appeals for their search had also been launched by the mayor of Frattamaggiore, Marco Antonio Del Prete, and by Don Maurizio Patriciello, parish priest of Parco Verde in Caivano. The situation caught the attention of the local community, which mobilized to try to track them down. Now that they have returned home, the authorities will try to clarify the reasons behind their fleeting disappearance and the conditions that led them to temporarily leave their children.
