Antonella Giuli and her Role in the Chamber of Deputies
Antonella Giuli, closely linked to the prime minister’s sister, Arianna Meloni, has played a key role in the communications of Fratelli d’Italia. Last January, she took an important step forward in her career, being hired by the press office of the Chamber of Deputies with a salary of approximately 120,000 euros per year.
“We’ll talk about it this evening at 8:30 pm on Rai3”, announces Report on its Facebook page, anticipating one of the investigations broadcast in prime time.
The Report Investigation
The program hosted by Sigfrido Ranucci has already examined the management of the MAXXI by the new Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, and now focuses on Antonella. During the clip, the author of the investigation, Giorgio Mottola, questions Giovanni Donzelli, head of organization of Fratelli d’Italia.
Mottola asks: “Is it normal for me to accompany Arianna Meloni to all the events?" Donzelli answers: “But will she be friends with whoever she wants? Or does she have to be just her friend?”. Mottola doesn’t stop and underlines: “It almost seems like zero-hour redundancy… the State pays, the Chamber pays and yet the ones who benefit are Arianna Meloni and Fratelli d’Italia."
Antonella Giuli’s Response
Mottola then intercepts Antonella Giuli as she leaves Montecitorio. He asks her about her role at the Chamber’s press office. She declares: “I have been the press officer of the Chamber of Deputies since January." However, Mottola replies: “We understand that you work mainly for Fratelli d’Italia."
Giuli replies: “That I never go to the office? You can ask the entire constitutional spectrum currently present in the Chamber." When Mottola points out that she was seen in the office despite being on vacation, Antonella replies: “I went to get some things from the office."
Finally, Mottola points out that she has been inside since this morning. Antonella replies: “You think I go even on vacation. I am so attached to my workplace that I go even if I am on vacation." For Mottola, however, the suspicion remains: “The suspicion is that you come to work for Fratelli d’Italia in reality." Antonella closes by stating: “But I dispel any doubts, it is not like that."
