The ambulance of the future, powered by artificial intelligence, a bar dedicated to biochemistry, home automation technologies to support the elderly, telemedicine and the use of mathematics to optimize healthcare services. These are some of the innovations that will be presented at Welfair 2024, the Healthcare Fair that will take place from 5 to 7 November at Fiera di Roma. Among the new features, the Ambulance.AI represents a significant advancement in the emergency-urgency field. This highly connected vehicle uses a telemedicine platform to operate as an extension of the Emergency Room. Thanks to a data collection system, it is able to send vital signs and information to the doctor before the patient arrives at the hospital, thus facilitating the diagnostic and triage process. This is not a futuristic project: the first ten units have already been ordered by Ares Lazio. Another innovation is Easy Med, a telemonitoring system that allows healthcare workers to follow patients both at home and in hospitals. This system collects information from biomedical and environmental devices without the need for smartphones or tablets. In addition, home automation is used to improve the lives of the elderly; Pando Labs has developed a system with environmental sensors equipped with artificial intelligence capable of reporting emergency situations, such as falls, within RSAs. The Biochemistry Bar will offer practical demonstrations and live analyses on various biological samples, including lipidomic and intestinal microbiota tests, as well as mineralograms to detect any nutritional imbalances. Numerous medical-scientific companies and more than fifty directors of healthcare companies will be present during the fair. It will also be an opportunity to present the first National Strategic Plan on Cardiovascular Health created by the Italian Federation of Cardiologists. Free screenings and check-ups are planned, as well as professional training courses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as well as editorial presentations and conferences dedicated to health topics.
