Qualifying for the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix, originally scheduled for 7pm Italian time, has been postponed due to heavy rain at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo. No new time for the start of qualifying has been announced at this time. In the Sprint race of the Brazilian Grand Prix, Lando Norris dominated at the wheel of his McLaren, securing the win. His teammate Oscar Piastri finished in second place, while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen took third place. However, Verstappen was later penalised with a five-second time penalty for breaking the rules during the virtual safety car period, which forced him to slide to fourth place, handing the position to Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. Carlos Sainz finished in fifth place.
