The Israeli military announced that it eliminated two senior Hezbollah commanders in raids on the Lebanese city of Tyre yesterday: Mousa Izz al-Din, head of the Shiite militia’s forces in the coastal sector, and Hassan Majid Daib, head of artillery in the same area, accused of launching rockets at Haifa on Thursday. According to the IDF on Telegram, these Hezbollah members were involved in launching more than 400 projectiles toward Israel in the past month. A source close to Israeli leadership also told the Washington Post that Iran is planning an attack on Israel in the coming days.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a drone strike today against the Palmachim air base, located south of Tel Aviv, saying the facility houses a military research center and radar for the Arrow system. The group said it also struck other locations in Israel. Israeli officials have not yet commented on these attacks.
In Gaza, the death toll from Israeli raids since dawn has risen to twenty. The victims include nine people in a residential building in Nuseirat and three in the as-Saftawi neighborhood. Eight people also died in Beit Lahiya. A coalition of pro-Iranian groups in Iraq said it carried out four drone strikes against Eilat after Israel intercepted three drones coming from the east. The attacks were claimed by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.
Iranian leader Khamenei has threatened retaliation for any aggression against Iran or allied groups. During a meeting in Tehran, Khamenei warned that the United States and Israel will receive a firm response for their actions against Iran and its regional allies.
In recent days, several drones have been launched from Lebanon toward northern Israel. Sirens sounded in the Haifa area and the Israeli air force managed to shoot down one of the drones while another hit an industrial area near Nahariya without causing any injuries. Israeli bombings have caused the death of at least five Palestinians in a refugee camp in Nuseirat.
Several sources reported that rockets fired from Lebanon hit several Israeli locations, causing several injuries. The Hamas-run Gaza government press office said that more than 84 people, including more than 50 children, were killed in the latest Israeli raids. These tensions continue to grow as attacks and retaliations between the parties involved in the conflict continue.
