F1 Brazilian Grand Prix qualifying postponed
Qualifying for the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix, originally scheduled for 7pm Italian time, has been postponed due to heavy rain at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo.
After several postponements, the race direction has decided to postpone the qualifying session of the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix until tomorrow, initially scheduled for 15:00 local time, corresponding to 19:00 Italian time. Heavy rainfall continues to hit the Interlagos circuit, located in Sao Paulo, causing large puddles and streams of water to form on the track. In addition to the large amount of water on the asphalt, the decision to postpone the qualifying session was also taken due to the reduction in visibility, which further decreases as sunset approaches. In the Sprint race of the Brazilian Grand Prix, Lando Norris triumphed with his McLaren. His teammate Oscar Piastri took second place, while Max Verstappen finished third with his Red Bull. However, the Dutchman received a five-second penalty for not respecting the virtual safety car regime, thus relegating him to fourth place and being overtaken by Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. Carlos Sainz finished fifth.
