The Revenue Agency has issued a provision that extends the terms following a malfunction of the F24 telematic system managed by Sogei, which occurred from 12:48 on 29 October 2024 until 9:56 the following day. In the communication, the Agency emphasizes that the law provides that, in similar situations, “the terms of prescription and forfeiture, as well as those relating to the fulfillment of obligations and formalities regarding taxes and duties owed to the treasury, which expire during the period of malfunction, are extended until the tenth day following the publication of the provision relating to the malfunction itself”.

During the indicated time interval, an anomaly was recorded in the Sogei system responsible for the acquisition of the telematic F24 models. This problem led to the rejection of the payment delegations with the reason “Accounting squaring of the tax department”. However, Sogei specified that no problems were encountered in the online services offered by the Revenue Agency. The latter functioned regularly, also allowing the submission of applications relating to membership for the biennial preventive agreement.

As a result, the affected taxpayers will be able to benefit from the extension to fulfill their tax obligations without incurring penalties or problems related to expired deadlines due to the malfunctioning of the system. This measure was necessary to ensure that everyone had the possibility to properly manage their tax practices despite the technical difficulties encountered.

The Revenue Agency is committed to maintaining transparency and ensuring the necessary support for taxpayers in similar situations. In this way, a timely and adequate response is offered to unforeseen inconveniences that may affect the fulfillment of tax obligations. The correct functionality of online services is a crucial aspect to facilitate the interaction of citizens with tax institutions and ensure efficient management of ongoing tax practices.
