“The left’s smear campaign is activated as usual in the run-up to elections. This time it happened a few days before the vote for the regional elections in Umbria.” These are the words of the national spokesperson for Forza Italia, Raffaele Nevi, in a note. “An opposition devoid of ideas and without any concrete proposal for the voters is latching on to an investigation that has already been archived, which involved President Tesei following a complaint,” Nevi wrote on social media.
“This investigation was closed before it was even officially started - he stressed - and yet the left has chosen to exploit it to damage the image of the president and the center-right. Instead of resorting to these stratagems, it would be appropriate for the Umbrian left to keep a low profile, considering the judicial precedents that have affected the top of the Umbrian Democratic Party. Please, have a little respect”.
Nevi continued by saying that such attacks will not stop the center-right, which is more determined than ever to present ideas and projects for the future of Umbria. He then expressed his personal solidarity with President Tesei, adding that Forza Italia is well aware of the strategy of defamation.
