On matchday ten of the championship, Roma obtained a narrow victory against Torino, beating them 1-0 thanks to a goal by Dybala in the twentieth minute. The match, played on a Halloween night, saw the Giallorossi overturn a period of crisis and face a Torino that was not very incisive. Dybala, deployed as a centre forward due to the absence of Dovbyk due to fever and Pellegrini on the bench due to injury, started the team’s recovery. Coach Juric deployed Dybala supported by Baldanzi and Pisilli, with Le Fée and Konè in midfield.

Torino, led by Vanoli, focused on the Adams-Sanabria attacking duo and fielded Gineitis and Masina from the first minute. The Olimpico was filled with fans ready to support Roma, who immediately took the initiative. The synergy between Angelino and Zalewski allowed them to serve Dybala, creating several dangerous opportunities. The opening goal came in the twentieth minute: a mistake by Linetty in the back pass was exploited by Dybala, who with an angled shot gave Roma the lead.

After scoring, Juric’s team maintained control of the game, even coming close to doubling the lead. Torino struggled to create real goal-scoring opportunities until after the half-hour mark, when Adams attempted a header. In the second half, Roma did not stop: Pisilli hit the post (the move was however tainted by offside) and Le Fée forced Milinkovic-Savic into an important save. Vanoli then decided to change two players, inserting Pedersen and Vlasic for Maripan and Sanabria.

Juric responded by bringing on Pellegrini for Pisilli, but shortly after Njie, who came on in the second half for Gineitis, had a good opportunity that Svilar neutralized with a fine save. After this scary moment, Roma recovered and managed the match without worries. Dybala left the pitch amid applause to make room for Shomurodov; Zalewski and El Shaarawy also took part in the game while Cristante replaced Baldanzi.

The final result of 1-0 represents an important step forward for Roma who must continue to work hard to overcome the initial difficulties of the season and give new hope to their coach Juric.
