The investigation concerns a group suspected of dossier-building and irregular data collection. Currently, the proceedings have no suspects and are proceeding in parallel with another one launched in Milan, coordinated by the National Anti-Mafia Prosecutor’s Office. According to reports, the investigations in the capital were launched last spring, as revealed by the website Today.it. The group, known as ‘Squadra Fiore’, is also said to be composed of former members of the police force and operates in an apartment in the north-east district of Rome, also collaborating with foreign clients.
Furthermore, the agenda of the Council of Ministers called for 4:00 p.m. includes a decree law introducing urgent measures regarding the judicial system, the judiciary staff, management positions and investigative powers related to cybercrime. The measure is presented by the Presidency of the Council together with the Ministry of Justice.
