The European Commission has decided to definitively introduce additional duties of up to 35.3% on electric cars imported from China, due to the massive subsidies considered unfair provided by the Chinese government. This information was reported in the implementing regulation published today by the European Union. The decision will be officially published tomorrow in the Official Journal of the Union and the duties will enter into force from 31 October. However, Brussels reserves the right to negotiate an agreement with Beijing in the coming weeks.
