On October 29th, as per tradition, a concert by the Rino Gaetano Band will be held to honor the memory of the singer-songwriter on the day of his birth, which took place in Crotone in 1950. This official event, organized by his sister Anna and nephew Alessandro, will take place in Rome at the Hacienda and will last from the afternoon until midnight. Among the guests will be the actor and director Ivano De Matteo.

Two young singer-songwriters, Elisa Benetti and Alice Laison, will also perform on stage. During the concert, the audience will have the opportunity to watch a live painting performance by Amèlie Gatti, known as Amèlie Vestiti D’arte, who will be inspired by the artist Rino Gaetano. The painting created will be donated to Tetrabondi, an organization that works to promote an inclusive world and break down stereotypes related to disability; the work will be auctioned during the next edition of Tetraink, a festival dedicated to alternative comics. In addition, LIS performer Giulia Clementi will perform one of Gaetano’s most famous songs in sign language.

The “Happy Birthday Rino” event is integrated with one of the most important events dedicated to music collecting. Thanks to the collaboration with Music Day Roma, collectors and lovers of good music will be able to immerse themselves in the world of 33 and 45 rpm vinyl, MIX and CDs thanks to the selected exhibitors who usually participate in the main Record Fairs in Italy. The evening will be hosted by Giulia Massarelli, founder of Lunatika Factory, a creative space dedicated to female art.

This celebration not only represents a tribute to the figure of Rino Gaetano but also represents an important opportunity to promote art and live music. With a combination of artistic performances and an area dedicated to music collecting, the event promises to involve the public in a unique and memorable experience, paying homage to the lasting legacy of the singer-songwriter from Crotone.
