Dark Deaths Wolfgang Abel, the Symbol of the Newborn Terrorist

Wolfgang Abel, originally from Verona, died at the age of 64. Together with Marco Furlan, he had been convicted of 15 murders committed between 1977 and 1984, which bore the signature of the neo-Nazi group “Ludwig”, active in Veneto, Lombardy and Bavaria. Abel was born in Munich in 1959. In September 2021, his health had rapidly deteriorated when he was admitted to hospital in serious condition at the Borgo Trento hospital in Verona. He had been found unconscious in his home in Monte Rico di Arbizzano, within the municipality of Negrar (Verona), by his mother’s carer. Following a fall, he had suffered a head injury that had led to a coma. According to available information, he died a few days ago in the section dedicated to patients in a vegetative state of the Sacro Cuore Don Calabria hospital in Negrar, where he had been hospitalized without ever regaining consciousness. Abel had served a total of 32 years in prison and house arrest and was released completely in 2016. He has always maintained his innocence regarding the charges against him.
