The District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Milan has filed an appeal with the Review Court to obtain thirteen precautionary custody orders in prison against as many suspects. These include Carmine Gallo and Nunzio Samuele Calamucci, who are currently under house arrest following a decision by the judge for preliminary investigations. In addition, house arrest has been requested for three other individuals, including Enrico Pazzali, who is the owner of Equalize, a company involved in the investigation into alleged illegal dossiers and also serves as president of the Fondazione Fiera Milano. Judge Fabrizio Filice has decided to apply only four precautionary measures against the sixteen positions examined, in addition to two interdictions, without ordering any precautionary custody for Pazzali.

Alleged dossiers on Russian citizens also emerge within the documents of the investigation conducted by the Milan DDA on the cyber-spies network. Samuele Calamucci, a hacker associated with the group, was intercepted while mentioning a “report” related to a well-known Russian oligarch. Furthermore, the prosecutors highlighted that the identification of this Russian individual has been started and that the only element that has emerged concerns a matter involving Russian-Kazakh citizens, such as Victor Kharitonin and Alexandrovich Toporov. Reference is also made to the construction of a hotel in Cortina d’Ampezzo and the management of various luxury resorts. Unauthorized access would have occurred with respect to Vladimir Tsyganov and Oxana Bondarenko, both active in the fashion sector.

Attilio Fontana, president of the Lombardy Region, expressed surprise at the dossier investigation, saying: “Enrico Pazzali is a person I have always respected and continue to respect. I am shocked by this situation because I was completely unaware of the initiatives and activities related to this matter.” Asked whether Pazzali should consider stepping down from the Fiera Milano Foundation, Fontana said he would discuss the matter with Mayor Sala in an upcoming meeting since the appointment was made jointly.
