Liguria Elections 2023 Who will win between Bucci and Orlando

There are 1,341,799 Ligurian voters who are preparing to vote to elect the new president of the Liguria Region. Nine candidates are running for the presidency: Alessandro Rosson (Independence! Alemanno for Rosson), Davide Felice (Forza del Popolo), Francesco Toscano (Sovereign Popular Democracy), Marco Giuseppe Ferrando (Communist Workers' Party), Nicola Rollando (For the Alternative - Power to the People! - Pci - Refoundation Communist Party European Left), Maria Antonietta Cella (Northern Popular Party Autonomy and Freedom), Nicola Morra (United for the Constitution), Marco Bucci (Liguria Pride - Liguria Wins - Lega - UDC - Brothers of Italy - Popular Alternative - Forza Italia) and Andrea Orlando (5 Star Movement - Democratic Party - Ligurians with Their Heads Up - Green and Left Alliance - Andrea Orlando President List - Reformist Civic Pact for Orlando). There are over five hundred candidates for regional councilors.

While waiting for the election results, the candidates of the center-right, Marco Bucci, and of the progressive camp, Andrea Orlando, are carefully following the vote counting a few hours before the closing of the polls scheduled for 3 p.m. Both coalitions have set up monitoring points in the center of Genoa to follow the exit polls and the progress of the count. Bucci will follow the vote counting in his mayor’s office in Palazzo Tursi and will then head to his coalition’s point in via Martin Piaggio. On the other hand, Orlando will follow the operations from La Spezia before going to Genoa to the point set up by his electoral committee in the Superba room of the Mog-Mercato Orientale.

According to the Ministry of the Interior through the Eligendo portal, the data available on the Liguria Region website indicate that at 11 pm the turnout for the regional elections reached 34.68%. Analyzing the provinces, in the Metropolitan City of Genoa 37.34% of voters voted; in the province of Savona the turnout was 31.55%, in the province of La Spezia it reached 35.6%, while in the province of Imperia it stood at 27.15%.
