On October 29, as usual, a concert will be held in honor of Rino Gaetano to commemorate the day of his birth, which took place in Crotone in 1950. The event, organized by his sister Anna and nephew Alessandro, will take place in Rome at the Hacienda and will last from the afternoon until midnight. Guests will include the actor and director Ivano De Matteo. Two young singer-songwriters, Elisa Benetti and Alice Laison, will also perform on stage. During the evening, the public will be able to watch a live painting performance by Amèlie Gatti, known as Amèlie Vestiti D’arte, inspired by the figure of Rino Gaetano. The work created will be donated to the Tetrabondi, an initiative aimed at “building an inclusive world by destroying stereotypes related to disability”, and will be auctioned off at the next edition of the Tetraink festival dedicated to alternative comics. In addition, performer Giulia Clementi will offer a sign language translation of one of the artist’s most famous songs. The “Happy Birthday Rino” event is integrated with one of the most significant events dedicated to music collecting. In collaboration with Music Day Roma, collectors and music enthusiasts will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the universe of 33 and 45 rpm vinyl, as well as MIX and CD thanks to selected exhibitors who regularly participate in the main Record Fairs in Italy. The evening will be hosted by Giulia Massarelli, founder of Lunatika Factory, a creative laboratory focused on female art.
