At 8:15 p.m., the live results of the Liguria elections were recorded. Claudio Scajola, former minister and mayor of Imperia, told ANSA that Marco Bucci, the center-right candidate, had won and would be a good president for the region. He emphasized the significant contribution of the Ponente and wished Bucci good luck in his job. The Italia Viva MP commented on the projections of the results, complaining that the center-left had missed opportunities due to the choice not to ally with Italia Viva, highlighting how Renzi and Paita had obtained a considerable number of votes in Liguria in the past.

According to the latest projection by the Opinio Italia consortium for Rai, with a sample of 64%, Bucci is ahead with 48.4% compared to Andrea Orlando of the center-left at 47.6%. Nicola Morra of the left stands at 1%. Other projections also confirm this trend, with Bucci always above 48% and Orlando below 48%. Matteo Richetti of Azione suggested that the results are very uncertain and that every small margin could be decisive for the final victory.

The projections also reveal details on the coalitions: the center-right one is at 48.5%, while the center-left one stops at 47.9%. The situation appears tense with a tight competition between the two main candidates. According to data provided by the Eligendo portal of the Ministry of the Interior, the turnout was lower than in the previous elections: at 3:00 p.m., a participation of 45.96% had been recorded.

Candidates Bucci and Orlando are following the count from strategic points in Genoa. While the turnout continues to drop compared to the previous data of the 2020 regional elections. In fact, in the Metropolitan City of Genoa the percentage of voters was 37.34%, while in the surrounding provinces variable values are observed. The next few hours will be crucial to definitively define who will ascend to the presidency of Liguria.
