The investigation into the death of the 13-year-old girl, who fell from the roof of a building in Piacenza, has been opened for voluntary homicide.
BOLOGNA, 28 OCT - This afternoon in Pavia, an autopsy will be performed on the body of Aurora, the thirteen-year-old who died on Friday, October 25 in Piacenza, after falling from a building. The task of the analysis was entrusted by the public prosecutor of the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office of Bologna, Simone Purgato, to the coroner Giovanni Cecchetto, who will carry out the examination in the presence of the parties involved.
The girl’s fifteen-year-old boyfriend, currently under investigation for voluntary homicide and at large, will be represented by lawyer Rita Nanetti, who replaces his usual lawyer Ettore Maini. On behalf of Aurora’s family, lawyer Stefania Sacchetti is present, replacing Lorenza Dordoni.
“A task has been given with a very broad question,” Sacchetti said. The medical examiner may decide to avail himself of the assistance of other specialists for toxicological investigations or genetic analysis. Both sides have appointed their own experts: the victim’s family has chosen medical examiner Novella D’Agostini as their consultant.
