A 50-year-old man was arrested in Rome after threatening, stalking and assaulting his pregnant partner. The man’s violence included kicking and punching her, and on one occasion he sprayed her in the face, probably to stun her. The arrest occurred after the woman decided to contact the Casilino district police following yet another episode of violence.
The attacker had also made threats regarding the future of the child, promising to take him away once he was born. Although the woman had moved in with her mother to get away from him, the violence continued. The last episode occurred last October, when he attacked her again outside her home with kicks and punches.
