One person injured in the attack north of Tel Aviv, where a truck crashed into a bus stop near the IDF base in Glilot, died at Ichilov Hospital. This tragic event has raised concerns and condemnations across the country. Meanwhile, a preliminary report by the Lebanese Ministry of Health said that an Israeli air strike near Sidon left two people dead and eleven wounded. The Lebanese daily L’Oreint le Jour highlighted the seriousness of the situation.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant briefed his U.S. counterpart Lloyd Austin on the positive results of Israeli military operations against Iran and discussed the possible strategic opportunities arising from these actions. According to an official statement, Gallant shared assessments of the successes achieved against Iranian missile production sites and air capabilities. The meeting also included discussions on the dynamics of the conflicts in both Lebanon and Gaza.
The Israeli military has issued an order for the immediate evacuation of residents of 14 villages in southern Lebanon for security reasons. IDF Spokesperson Avichay Adraee warned that anyone near Hezbollah-linked facilities faces serious risks.
Gallant also stressed the need for “painful concessions” to secure the release of the hostages in Gaza, saying that not all solutions can come from military operations alone. The driver involved in the bus stop accident was identified as Rami Nathur by Kalanswa and was “neutralized” by shots fired by civilians present at the scene. However, the driver’s family claims that he had been taken ill at the time of the accident.
Police confirmed that Nathur was shot while trying to stop him after he hit several pedestrians at a bus stop near the military base. Initial reports indicate that more than 40 people were injured in the incident; ten are in serious condition and others have minor injuries or are suffering from acute anxiety.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the current situation as a difficult and costly existential war. He assured that efforts will continue to pursue those who threaten the country’s security and referred to the attacks against Iran as precise and effective in damaging Iran’s defense capabilities.
Furthermore, it emerged that the terrorist responsible for the attack was an Israeli Arab citizen residing in the aforementioned location. The Magen David Adom (MDA) ambulance service reported that several people were pulled out of the truck that overturned after hitting pedestrians.
Authorities are investigating the incident to determine whether it was actually a
