The fifteen-year-old investigated for the death of his girlfriend is described by his family as being in a state of shock; since he returned home, he has not communicated with anyone. The boy’s family told the newspaper Libertà that the young man is deeply affected by the tragedy. During questioning, at the end of which he was released, he denied any responsibility, stating that the girl accidentally fell while she was with him on the balcony. It was the boy himself who asked for help from the neighbors, who then contacted the emergency services.

The 13-year-old’s 22-year-old sister continues to express her grief on social media, claiming it was murder. She announced on Instagram that she is organizing a torchlight procession in memory of her sister and the victims of femicide. The boyfriend under investigation underwent a long interrogation by the competent authorities on the same day as the incident and was released without precautionary measures.
